We are eleven people who would rather be on a bus in Himachal.

Flytop Vacation Private Limited started as two friends renting a Tempo Traveller for weekend runs to Kasol. Twelve years later we move around 4,000 travellers a year — and we still drive the routes ourselves before we sell them.

How we work

Most agencies resell a wholesaler's package and forward you the voucher. We contract hotels and drivers directly, which is why we can move your hotel two streets closer to the lake at 9pm on a Saturday.

Every enquiry gets a named planner. That person writes your itinerary, books your rooms, and answers the phone if the road to Sonmarg closes. No handoffs between departments.

We publish our exclusions as loudly as our inclusions. If a permit, a ropeway ticket or a camera fee is not in the price, it says so on the package page before you pay anything.

In their words

We landed in Srinagar to rain and the plan was rearranged the same evening so Gulmarg moved to the clear day. The shikara at sunrise instead of the usual evening slot was the coordinator's idea and it was the quietest hour of the whole week.

My mother cannot manage the Kedarnath trek, so the helicopter leg mattered. Tickets were confirmed weeks ahead, and when the Wednesday flight was held for weather the team had us rebooked by the next morning without me chasing anyone.

The Cappadocia balloon got cancelled on our first morning for wind. They had already built a spare day into the itinerary for exactly that, so we flew the next day instead of losing it. That bit of planning is why I would book again.
